If you are a registered member of the Apple developer program then now you can download the new iOS 11 IPSW file and install it on one of the following Apple devices:
- IPod 6th generation, iPad Mini 2 or newer
- IPhone 5S, 5SE, 6, 6S, 7, 7+, 8, X and 8 Plus.
The latest iOS 11 was officially revealed at the WWDC 2017 and at this moment is the newest software update for iDevices. This update increases to some extent the functionality of the most famous OS in the world. It was revealed that a public beta version will be released for the testers at the end of this month, while the final public version of the iOS 11 is expected to arrive this autumn.
Download iOS 11 IPSW for iPhone X, 8 Plus, 8 an other version
Bellow you will find a short guide covering the installation process of iOS 11 on a compatible iPhone device. To check whether your Apple device is compatible, you can check your eligibility at any time. Please note that the current iOS 11 beta version is still in an early development phase so it is not recommended that you install it on primary devices because it is prone to bugs and issues. It is recommended that you only use test devices.
Before you start with the installation of iOS 11 GM, we recommend that you do a complete backup of your device, using iCloud or iTunes.
How to download and install the new iOS 11 on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
- Visit the https://developer.apple.com/programs/ site and enroll in the program. You can skip this step if you are already registered
- Login to the “Account Section” using your Apple ID
- Register your UDID with Apple for the device on which you intend to install the iOS 11 GM.
- Connect your iDevice into iTunes, select it and then click serial number to see the UDID. Copy it.
- Go to the “Account” section, and tap on “Certificates, Identifiers and Profiles”
- You should be able to see in the left corner the “Devices” section. Press on “All” from this section
- On the right hand panel you can see “+” button. Click on it and add your UDID
- Once you have successfully added the UDID, go to “Developer – Downloads” section (you can find this page using this URL: https://developer.apple.com/download/.
- Select your device from the drop down menu to download the iOS 11 iPSW firmware file
Note that you can download the firmware with OTA.
- Open the downloads page as we have mentioned above on your iDevice and press on “download” which is beneath iOS 11 beta beside “Configuration Profile” and wait while it is begin installed on your iDevice. (you may need to restart your device)
- After your profile is set, open “Settings – General – Software Update” on your device and wait for the OTA Update for iOS 11 beta to show. To download it, tap on “Download and Install”
- Make sure that you have the latest iTunes version installed and return to iTunes-Restorable firmware download section
- Start iTunes and connect your iDevice to your computer
- Install beta by using the “Shift” button if you are using Windows computer or “Alt” button if you are using MAC computer and choose “Restore iPhone”.
- ITunes will now prompt you to select an “ipsw” file. Just choose the iOS 11 GM file which you have previously downloaded
- And that’s it. Now just wait till the iOS 11 beta is installed on your device. After it is done, you should be able to see the iOS 11 Hello screen.
